HEFELIAS Sustainability Journey 2025
HEFELIAS promises to be a brand that “walks the walk” and is fully transparent on all the work we have done and all the work we still need to do in order to make a strong and proactive contribution to sustainable representation within the fashion industry.
At HEFELIAS “Sustainable Luxury” means creating timeless, high-quality pieces with a purpose.
We believe true luxury derives from individuality—using thoughtful materials, embedding fair practices, embracing ethics, embodying diversity and inclusion, giving back and conscious design.
Each garment is more than a piece of clothing—it’s a commitment to the Planet.
While we are still very much in the early stages of our journey, we are proud to be part of the sustainable fashion movement and we hope to inspire others to stand with us and wear the change.

Zero Waste Fashion
Limited Quantities & Anti Over-Consumption
From the very beginning HEFELIAS wanted to make an unwavering commitment to zero waste fashion and lead the way in putting a stop to overproduction. Reducing waste is an initiative close to our hearts and as such all our products are produced in strictly limited quantities. Additionally, we vow to make full use of all the smart methods available to us such as a pre-order and a waitlist system to make sure we aren’t overproducing and are able to grow responsibly while embracing our long term aspirations and values.

Eco-Friendly Packaging. Biodegradable & Recyclable
At HEFELIAS every single one of our products will be shipped in our branded eco-friendly and recyclable packaging. Everything and we mean every minute detail from our shipping boxes, kraft polymailers to our branded tissue paper is environmentally friendly, compostable and recyclable. We know there is still the urgent conversation around sustainable transportation and we are working furiously behind the scenes and reviewing all options in where we can lead with our efforts to be difference makers.

Material Matters
Cupro "Eco-Friendly Alternative To Silk"
At HEFELIAS as part of our ambition to be difference makers within the fashion industry we made the conscious decision to use elements of sustainable and environmentally friendly materials in all of our products.
We have also gone one step further by investing heavily in vegan eco friendly materials such as Cupro and recycled plastic such as discarded plastic water bottles.
All our products that use Cupro lining will be noted within the product description.
What is Cupro?
Cupro is a cotton linter regenerated fabric that has a silky smooth texture, a shiny surface and drapes beautifully. Cupro is vegan, anti-bacterial, hypoallergenic and anti-static. Cupro benefits from being stretchable and uniquely regulates body temperature enhancing comfort.
Why Cupro?
Cupro is biodegradable as it is derived from cotton linter, a by-product of the cotton plant that would have otherwise been discarded if not used.
Cupro also benefits from being a plant-based, vegan and cruelty free fabric which is often labeled as an "eco-friendly alternative to silk".
Using elements of eco friendly materials in all products, is part of our bold commitment to combine supreme and elegant pieces that are environmentally focused and reduce avoidable waste.
A commitment that HEFELIAS fiercely embraces.

Ethical Manufacturing
Our Manufacturing Selection Process
We are committed to ensuring that we have a reasonable level of oversight and governance over our manufacturer's processes, policies and procedures to verify that they align with our values, culture and ethical practices.
We perform a rigorous review when selecting our manufacturers, which includes assessing their company culture via online meetings and in person factory visits, to fully understand and observe their working conditions, prior to entering into a contract.
As of March 2025, we have made the conscious decision to just use 1 manufacturer whose primary hub is based within the UK and we make regular visits to their UK factory to assess their working practices throughout the design lifecycle.
We have also confirmed that their partner factory in Kyrgyzstan, where our Bridal collection was made and now all our future products will be made, in limited quantities, also upholds the same culture and ethical practices.

Sustainable Aviation
Reducing Our Carbon Emissions
We are pleased to announce that all of our International orders will now be shipped via the DHL Express GoGreen Plus.
GoGreen Plus, is a dedicated solution from DHL to help businesses reduce the carbon emissions associated with their shipments through the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).
SAF is a biofuel that is produced from renewable sources such as vegetable oils, animal fats, waste products, and agricultural crops.
SAF is specifically designed to be used as a substitute for traditional jet fuel and can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 80% compared to fossil fuels.
Domestic shipping will be via DHL Express who do not offer the same GoGreen Plus Service at this time.
However, we use trusted third-party sustainability partners to offset the carbon footprint of every domestic DHL shipment.
Each domestic shipment will have the Carbon Offset Certificate for that order included.
Sustainable shipping across all of our domestic and international orders is another huge leap that we are taking to demonstrate our unwavering commitment to a more Sustainable Future and to leading the way in the Sustainable Fashion movement.
We strive to be leaders in the industry and will fiercely look for ways to ensure we are constantly improving.
